Job summary

NY Creates, located at 257 Fuller Road in Albany, NY, seeks a Photonics Integration Engineer to drive the AIM Photonics MPW program, ensure manufacturability, and contribute to sustaining improvements across silicon photonics platforms. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors is essential.

Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree in engineering or science and multiple years of industry experience; strong communication skills are required for client and partner

Qualifications

• M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering/Science discipline OR Ph.D. in same fields with required years of experience
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Independent and collaborative cross-functional team work; quick learner in evolving needs

Responsibilities

• Providing integration support for the AIM Photonics MPW program
• Handling and managing third-party design IP
• Performing design rule checking (DRC) and waiver reviews
• Collecting and analyzing measurement, metrology, and inline test data
• Preparing process/measurement change requests and CRB documentation
• Interfacing with customers and development partners on project requirements and progress
