Job summary

Skorpios Technologies, Inc. in Temecula, CA, is seeking a Firmware / Control Systems Engineer, Optical Module, to maintain existing firmware and develop new software for optical communication products.

You will write test software in C#, develop embedded C firmware, work with SPI/I2C, and support Linux test hardware, collaborating with a cross-functional team to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• BS in science or engineering is required (Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).
• Experience with C# or similar object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with embedded C firmware development.
• >2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or development environments.
• 5-10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and improve existing test software written in C# to test Skorpios silicon photonics ICs and optical modules.
• Automate test equipment via USB, GPIB, and TCP/IP interfaces.
• Review and improve code to enhance cycle time, quality, and reliability.
• Provide software for technicians for fault isolation of optical, electrical, and communication problems.
• Develop firmware (embedded C / ARM) for optical communication products.
