Job summary

Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking a Software Development Engineer to architect, build, and operate the infrastructure that accelerates silicon development. You will influence platforms, tooling, and automation to enable chip design teams to iterate faster and validate designs thoroughly.

You'll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, high-performance computing, and electronic design automation, building systems that impact AWS custom silicon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Customer-Focused Infrastructure Development: Partner with silicon design, verification, emulation, and software teams to understand workflows and iterate.
• Own Platform Delivery and Operations: Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure and HPC clusters using schedulers like Slurm; build CI/CD pipelines for IaC and deployments.
• Drive Results Through Automation and Observability: Develop monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting to surface insights; establish runbooks and improve system resilience.
