Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for the Starlink silicon assembly team. The role focuses on preventive and unplanned maintenance of fabrication equipment in a fast-paced cleanroom environment, requiring a strong hands-on skill set and teamwork to ensure high uptime and yield.

Candidates should have 3+ years in manufacturing or a relevant engineering degree, with experience reading detailed schematics and performing TPM across modules.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in hands-on manufacturing or a bachelor’s degree in engineering/science.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment and maintenance in a fab environment.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic schematics and drawings.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and unplanned maintenance on production line equipment including photolithography, die prep, grinding/polishing, AOI, reflow, die bonding, curing ovens, tape mount, microsaw, PVD, plating, etch, deposition and metrology equipment.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot systems down to the component level.
• Operate lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.
• Use diagnostic tools to monitor performance, diagnose root cause and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to reduce downtime and drive improvements.
