Job summary

cat is seeking a testing engineer to support the MineStar Fleet Application for autonomous trucks and staff vehicles. The role focuses on testing engineering with IT software components, server cluster administration, and VM management in a dedicated facility.

The candidate will enable autonomous operations using MineStar and Command for Hauling, work onsite during the 2nd shift, and collaborate with a team on a scalable lab environment to simulate real mining-site conditions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in relevant fields.
• Experience in developing and executing test plans.
• Proficiency in debugging and Software in the Loop (SIL).
• Experience with IT software, especially VmWare.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of Python and IP Networking.

Responsibilities

• Support the MineStar Fleet Application for autonomous trucks and staff vehicles.
• Enable autonomous operations using Command for Hauling and MineStar Fleet applications.
• Utilize fleet management systems to manage productivity and data at worksites.
• Conduct testing in a scalability lab to simulate real mining site conditions.
• Administer a dedicated server cluster using VMWare for virtual machine management.
• Manage virtual machines using Windows Server OS, Linux, and Autonomy onboard software.
• Perform system upgrades to Windows 2022.
• Work within an isolated VLAN segmented network specifically for the team.
