Job description

The Signature Line Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of all food items for the Plough and the Exchange. We work with local farms and purveyors to bring the highest quality ingredients to life. We strive in creating a creative and respectful environment amongst our staff and want to put out the finest plates in the city. Our goal is to be at the highest level and have fun while doing it.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Food Handlers Certification preferred. Company is willing to train sanitation and food safe practices.
  • Demonstrates integrity, passion, and respect for the food and others.
  • Must be able to take direction and think critically about food leaving the kitchen.
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Must work well with team to meet goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to keep a clean, organized and well-stocked station.
  • Attitude is everything and coworkers are willing and happy to train and help new associates.
  • Follow recipes, cooking techniques and plating procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working (per brand standards).
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Food Handlers Safety etc.
  • Maintain friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
