Job summary

Loews New Orleans Hotel in the Warehouse District seeks a bartender passionate about guests and cocktails. You will craft signature drinks, serve with flair, and deliver warm, personalized service in a vibrant bar environment.

Ideal candidates have bartending experience, knowledge of cocktails and glassware, ability to work nights and weekends, and strong guest-service skills. Training and growth opportunities are offered along with team meals and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required, with bartending experience highly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, preparation techniques, appropriate glassware, and bar equipment, including knowledge of legal regulations for alcohol service (TIPS or local State approved certification or ability to obtain is required).
• Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks, following recipes and guest preferences.
• Create and recommend unique cocktails tailored to individual guest tastes.
• Ensure every drink meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
• Greet and engage guests with a warm, welcoming attitude, delivering personalized service.
• Take drink orders from guests and servers, answering questions about menu options.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Set up the bar at the start of each shift, ensuring all equipment, garnishes, and supplies are ready for service.
