Job summary

InterContinental New Orleans is seeking a Bartender to shape the guest experience through cocktails, service, and hospitality. You will craft beverages, manage bar operations, and create a welcoming atmosphere that supports guest satisfaction and revenue.

The role requires strong mixology skills, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume hotel bar. You may lead colleagues, maintain safety standards, and ensure an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TIPS certification or equivalent required.
• Must meet state age requirements for serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cocktails and mixed drinks per recipes and guest requests.
• Serve wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and food in a timely, professional manner.
• Process payments and reconcile cash and other forms of payment.
• Order and replenish liquor, beverages, glassware, and supplies.
• Maintain an organized bar area and present beverages attractively.
• Clean and sanitize glassware, surfaces, and equipment per health standards.
• Prepare garnishes and accompaniments.
• Greet guests promptly with a friendly, welcoming demeanor and provide attentive service.
• Lead assigned associates when in a lead role and delegate tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
