Salary Range: $25.4342 - $30.0520/hr

This position involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals, lighting, bluestake, ITS, tunnel, and pump stations. It is an entry-level role requiring participation in a rotation-based 24-hour call-back program, with response time within 30 minutes. The employee must be able to work from elevated heights and during hazardous weather conditions, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities include performing electrical, electronic, and mechanical duties related to traffic signals, roadway lighting, pump stations, tunnels, ITS, and utility locating. Tasks involve operating motorized vehicles and tools, managing contracts, quality assurance, record keeping, and performing emergency repairs. Lead duties include advising, scheduling, inspecting, and training lower-level technicians, with authority to inspect and determine repairs or replacements.
Proficiency in tools, electrical codes, system schematics, safety practices, and electrical, electronic, mechanical, and utility theories. Skills include interpreting laws, safety practices, blueprints, troubleshooting, and effective communication. Ability to work independently, plan, analyze, learn new systems, and perform under stress.
High school diploma or GED required. Experience levels vary by SLATE: 1 (entry level), 2 (intermediate), 3 (advanced/lead). Specific experience and certifications are preferred, including IMSA training and confined spaces training. A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months are required.
Must pass driver’s license record checks, maintain valid licenses, and obtain a CDL permit and license as specified. All new hires must complete E-Verify.
