Job Summary:
This position manages the inspection, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals, lighting, Blue Stake, ITS, tunnels, and pump stations. It involves planning, programming, budgeting for the Southern Region Traffic Signal/Lighting/ITS maintenance and operations Unit 6533, developing contracts and estimates, and managing payments. Responsibilities include record-keeping, purchasing, reviewing design plans, attending coordination meetings, training staff, and possibly serving as an expert witness in legal matters. The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Remote work may be available based on department needs and performance.
Job Duties include establishing work standards, managing personnel, performance reviews, training, reporting, analyzing resource needs, advising on projects, managing budgets, traveling within the state, and other related duties.

Must possess a valid driver’s license, complete required training, pass driver record checks, and have liability insurance if using personal vehicle. A high school diploma or GED is required.
