Qualifications

• Six or more years of demonstrated experience in layout, design, manufacturing, electronics, power tool operation, or related areas.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply specification documents, schematic information, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to apply geometric and algebraic mathematical calculations regarding scaling requirements.
• Ability to move materials, equipment, and completed cutting projects.
• Ability to effectively communicate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop layouts from blueprints and templates.
• Plan locations and sequences of cutting, drilling, bending, rolling, punching, and welding operations.
• Review plans and diagrams to ensure accuracy of cutting of materials and compute layout dimensions.
• Print patterns and digital media to ensure final product meets customer specifications.
• Input data and upload art information into the production database.
• Program router to cut materials per job order specifications.
• Maintain quality control and safety in material handling and router operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor service on routers and layout equipment.
• Supervise a group of shop employees.
