Job summary

The Biltmore Estate is seeking a Sign Production Staff member for full-time work on the historic grounds. You will design, print, install, and maintain a wide range of estate signs, ensuring quality and safety while meeting Biltmore standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of sign maintenance experience, basic math, and strong attention to detail. You must read work orders, communicate clearly, and work independently or with a guest-service team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional training preferred.
• At least 6 months of sign maintenance experience; knowledge of signage installation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and service.
• Ability to read work orders and follow exact specifications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, produce, and install all types of signs with finishing (laminating, trimming, drilling, routing, etc.).
• Clean, maintain and install Estate signage and directional signs.
• Process new signage requests via work orders.
• Order and maintain sign materials, supplies, and ink; manage equipment upkeep.
• Maintain invoicing and pricing with signage vendors.
• Assist with special events and projects (e.g., Christmas candlelight).
• Maintain assigned areas according to Biltmore standards; operate equipment per SOP.
