Job summary

FASTSIGNS Parker/Castle Rock is seeking a Sign Production Specialist to follow layouts, apply vinyl graphics, and prepare substrates for finishing. You will weed, trim, and mount prints, while operating printers and plotters to ensure high-quality results.

The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and safety in a busy production environment. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in sign production, can lift 50+ lbs, and can work long shifts standing.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for 4 hours or more
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning)
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images of varying sizes and complexity
• Operate and maintain printers and plotters
• Perform quality checks pre- and post-production per a Work Order
• Finish pieces by laminating and/or mounting
• Report inventory levels and stock to reorder
• Keep storage areas clean and organized

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printers and plotters
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
