Job summary

FASTSIGNS is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced sign production environment. The role includes following layouts for vinyl graphics, preparing substrates, weeding vinyl, operating printers, and performing quality checks to ensure high standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in sign production, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods (4+ hours).
• Lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters/graphics.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; adjust techniques by size/type of vinyl and complexity.
• Operate and maintain printer(s).
• Perform QA measures by reading Work Orders and checking for errors.
• Finish pieces by laminating and mounting.
• Report inventory levels and stock to the center/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
