Job summary

FASTSIGNS #110201 is seeking a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team in the Indianapolis area. You will follow layouts to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates, prepare materials, weed excess vinyl, operate printers, and perform quality checks on pre- and post-production work.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting 50+ pounds, and the ability to work under pressure to deliver high-volume, high-quality signage solutions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stand for long periods (4+ hours)
• Lift 50+ pounds
• Lean over waist-high table to apply vinyl
• Work well under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality output
• Operate lightweight power equipment as needed

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to apply vinyl or full-color graphics to substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; handle different vinyl types/sizes.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform quality checks by reading Work Orders and proofreading for errors.
• Finish printed pieces with laminating/mounting as required.
• Report inventory levels and reorder needs to the center/production manager or franchisee.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will:

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist:

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
