Job summary

Signarama Houston is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to take every job from order to invoice. You will lead the production team, keep equipment and trucks running, and ensure each install is completed correctly the first time.

You will manage the flow from receiving through invoicing, schedule local crews, and coordinate nationwide subcontractors while maintaining safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing production in a sign shop, print shop, or similar fabrication environment.
• 2+ years supervising a team of 3 or more.
• Experience scheduling installs or field technicians.
• Hands-on knowledge of wide-format printers, CNC routers, plotters, and laminators.
• Experience tracking work against monthly production or revenue goals.
• Comfortable with job management software, email, and spreadsheets.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Move every job through receiving, design, permitting, production, QA, scheduling, install, and invoicing, without stalling.
• Schedule local install crews and service technicians, ensuring trucks depart with materials needed.
• Manage sublet install vendors for nationwide jobs from install package to completion photos.
• Keep shop equipment and the vehicle fleet maintained to minimize downtime.
• Train new production hires, coach the team, and maintain a safe shop environment.
• Know which jobs close each month and plan capacity to hit monthly targets.

At Signarama Houston we design, build, and install signs for businesses, both here in Houston and at job sites across the US. We need a hands-on Production Manager to take every job from order to invoice. You'll lead our production team, keep equipment and trucks running, and make sure every install gets done right the first time.

What You’ll Do

• Move every job through receiving, design, permitting, production, QA, scheduling, install, and invoicing, without letting anything stall.
• Schedule local install crews and service technicians, and make sure every truck leaves with the materials it needs to finish the job.
• Manage sublet install vendors for out-of-town jobs nationwide, from the install package all the way to completion photos.
• Keep shop equipment and the vehicle fleet maintained and repaired, so downtime stays low.
• Train new production hires, coach the current team, and keep the shop safe.
• Know which jobs are closing each month, and plan capacity so we hit our monthly targets.

What You Bring

• 3+ years managing production in a sign shop, print shop, or similar fabrication environment
• 2+ years supervising a team of 3 or more
• Experience scheduling installs or field technicians
• Hands-on knowledge of wide-format printers, CNC routers, plotters, and laminators

• Experience managing subcontracted installers in multiple states
• Knowledge of sign permitting
• Experience with fleet management, including bucket trucks
