Job summary

FASTSIGNS is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist / Graphic Designer. You will apply vinyl graphics, prepare substrates, weed vinyl, operate printers, and ensure quality through checks.

Responsibilities include finishing, inventory reporting, and maintaining storage areas. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in sign production or graphic design, a high school diploma, and physical ability to stand long hours, lift 50+ pounds, and work under pressure to deliver high-volume, high-quality

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production or graphic design preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more).
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Graphic Application: Follow layouts to apply computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics to specified substrates.
• Substrate Preparation: Prepare surfaces for vinyl application by cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
• Vinyl Weeding: Remove excess vinyl from cut images, adjusting techniques for different sizes, types, and complexities.
• Printer Operation: Operate and maintain printers.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct pre- and post-production quality checks by interpreting work orders and proofing for errors.
• Finishing: Laminate and mount printed materials as needed.
• Inventory Management: Report inventory levels and reorder needs to the manager.
• Storage Maintenance: Clean and upkeep storage areas.
