Job summary

Southern Maine Children`s Academy in Windham, ME seeks an Ed Tech III to support students in an integrated preschool. Responsibilities include classroom support, implementing IEP-based programming, and providing instruction under a special educator's supervision.

Open to full-time or part-time candidates; full-time hours are 8:00–3:30, part-time options vary. Prior autism/ABA experience is welcomed, and Ed-Tech certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Certification or willingness to obtain Ed-tech certification.
• Experience with autism and ABA is a plus.
• Preschool experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ed-tech certification required or willingness and ability to obtain Ed-Tech certification. ABA experience is a plus and preschool experience is preferred.

Description

Full or Part-time Ed Tech III position to work with our students in our integrated developmental preschool. Responsibilities include providing support to students in their classroom, implementing programming to address IEP goals and providing general instruction under the supervision of the special educator. Experience working with children with Autism is a plus, as is experience with Applied Behavior Analysis! Full-time hours are 8:00 to 3:30. Part-time hours are 8:00 to 12:00pm, 11:30 to 3:30 or 8:00 am to 3:30pm (fewer days per week). Part-time schedule may vary.

Benefits & Compensation

• Monthly MRTQ bonus of $275.00, $415.00 or $625.00 depending on education and experience. This bonus will continue as long as it is offered by the State of Maine.
• Additional monthly bonus from SMCA that is TBD of at least $300.00 per month.
• $3000.00 sign on bonus for full-time employees. $1000.00 paid after 3 months of employment and $1000.00 paid after 6 months of employment and $1000.00 paid after a year of employment.
