Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sign Maker/Graphic Designer to join our sign company in Bergen County, NJ. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, detail‑oriented professional with a strong background in both hands‑on sign production and graphic design. This role also requires customer service skills along with a collaborative and upbeat attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce signs for a variety of applications using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and FlexiSIGN
• Operate and maintain vinyl cutters, large format printers, laminators, and related sign production equipment.
• Consult and interface directly with customers, providing expert guidance and outstanding service.
• Sign installations (lobby signs, wall and window graphics, wayfinding signs, etc.).
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of all jobs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production workspace.
• Answer phones and support front‑end customer service as needed.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and techniques in sign design and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in sign making and graphic design.
• Expertise with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and FlexiSIGN.
• Hands‑on knowledge of sign materials, substrates, adhesives, and mounting techniques.
• Experience with large format digital printing, RIP software, and laminating.
• Hands‑on experience with signs installation such as lobby signs, wall and window graphics, wayfinding signs, etc.
• Solid understanding of color theory and color management.
• Valid NJ driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle for travel to job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills.

Salary

Salary range as listed or commensurate with the demonstrated experience and skills.
