Sign Language Interpreter - VRS - Full Time - Indianapolis, Indiana

Join Sorenson Communications as a Sign Language Interpreter - VRS - Full Time - Indianapolis, Indiana.

Salary Range: $25-$60 per hour (depending on location, education, and certifications)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Position Details

• The full-time position is 32 hours per week, with hours worked Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm MST.
• All 32 hours must be worked in VRS; any additional hours can be in other job codes.
• Must commit to remaining in this FT position for one year.

Shifts

Available hours are Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm MT. Selected candidates will initially work at least one shift on Monday, Friday, or Saturday.

Job Overview

Sorenson Communications is expanding our Video Relay Service. We seek interpreters for Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services, full and part-time, in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English
• Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements
• Follow Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID Code of Conduct
• Complete tasks promptly and accurately
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule
• Learn and implement new technologies
