Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking an interpreter to provide high-quality ASL/English/Spanish interpreting via video in a call center and on-site at various locations. The role requires fluent ASL, spoken English and Spanish, with adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

The position is part-time with benefits, scheduling includes weekday and weekend shifts, and includes training and potential travel to client sites.

• Multitask between interpreting and using video-based tools; participate in training.

Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high quality professional ASL/English/Spanish interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations when needed. Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language, spoken English language skills and spoken Spanish skills, accurate interpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

We are hiring for the following shifts: Monday - Friday: 1:00pm - 10:00pm PST (4:00pm - 1:00am EST) Weekends: 7:00am - 10:00pm PST (10:00am - 1:00am EST)

Job Requirements

• Must be able to work 24 hours per week
• Must pass the company's English/ASL and Spanish/ASL interpreting skills assessment
• Must attend and successfully complete a 40-hour New Hire Training

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Fluent ASL, spoken English language skills and spoken Spanish language skills
• Able to provide accurate interpretation
• Understanding of Deaf culture
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code o
