Job summary

Solli ant is seeking Sign Language Interpreters to support deaf or hard-of-hearing students in Illinois schools. Open roles include one full-time position with an elementary student and two part-time roles at area high schools, all on contract.

Proficiency in American Sign Language and relevant certifications (EIPA and ISBE) are required. Prior school interpreting is preferred, but new graduates with credentials will be considered. Compensation ranges from $28.39 to $48.39 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a 3.5 EIPA & ISBE certification, or a 3.0+ EIPA with ISBE approval.

Job description

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing as a Sign Language Interpreter in local schools. • Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools preferred, but recent graduates with required credentials may also be considered
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
