The Sign Language Interpreter is a full-time hybrid role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks as appropriate. In this role, the interpreter provides real-time sign language interpreting and spoken English support for meetings, trainings, briefings, and day-to-day communications involving Deaf and hard-of-hearing team members and stakeholders. Responsibilities include interpreting between American Sign Language (ASL) and English, translating written and spoken materials when needed, and ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication in technical and operational settings. The interpreter collaborates with project teams and leadership to facilitate inclusive communication in both in-person and virtual environments. The role may also involve preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant technical content, maintaining confidentiality, and contributing to accessibility best practices across the organization.
