Job summary

ESS Clinical in Rockville, MD seeks a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our Montgomery County Public School team, providing accurate ASL-English interpretation in classroom settings.

You will interpret lectures, work one-on-one with students, and collaborate with teachers to support deaf and hard-of-hearing learners.

This contract role offers guaranteed weekday hours, competitive pay, and benefits, with direct and indirect time opportunities.

Qualifications

• EIPA score of 3.3 or higher.
• Associate's degree or higher.
• Previous experience as an Educational Interpreter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and effective interpretation between spoken language (English or other spoken language) and American Sign Language (ASL).
• Interpret classroom instruction, lectures, discussions, and other school-related activities to ensure that deaf or hard-of-hearing students receive the information presented.
• Work one-on-one with students as needed to provide additional support and clarification.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support the overall educational development of students.

Pay from $56/hr W2 contracts and $62/hr 1099

No non competes in our contracts

Requirements

• EIPA score of 3.3 or higher
