ESS Clinical in Pleasant Plains, AR is seeking passionate Sign Language Interpreters for the 2026–2027 school year, in Midland School District.

We offer guaranteed hours, weekday stability, and competitive compensation for direct and indirect time, with W2 and 1099 options and no non-competes.

Requirements include RID ED:K-12 or EIPA 3.0+, prior educational interpreting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RID ED:K–12 certification or EIPA 3.0+ preferred
• Experience as Educational Interpreter preferred
• Ability to interpret between English and ASL in classroom settings

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between spoken language and ASL for classroom activities
• Interpret lectures, discussions, and school events to ensure Deaf/HH students access the information
• Work one-on-one with students for additional support
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student development

Pay starting from $38/hour

Requirements:

• EIPA score of 3.0 or higher or ED:K–12 certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
• Previous experience as an Educational Interpreter preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and effective interpretation between spoken language (English or other spoken language) and American Sign Language (ASL)
• Interpret classroom instruction, lectures, discussions, and other school-related activities to ensure that deaf or hard-of-hearing students receive the information presented
• Work one-on-one with students as needed to provide additional support and clarification
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support the overall educational development of students
