Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a part-time Sign Language Interpreter to support a student in Lexington, SC during the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll provide ASL interpretation one-on-one and help peers and staff communicate throughout the school day.

This W-2 position includes liability insurance, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) with company match, licensure/CEU reimbursements, mileage between sites, and referral bonuses. Prior school-based experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Proof of EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
• Proof of Written EIPA test - passing score.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team.

You’ll support students by providing interpreting services in American Sign Language (ASL) throughout the school day. This role is ideal for either experienced school ASL interpreters or those new to the school setting.
