Job summary

Allied Electric Sign & Awning Co. is seeking a Paint Associate in Vineyard, UT to prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply durable finishes to sign products. You will collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to meet quality standards and schedules.

The role requires 1–3 years in paint prep or related finishing work, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, read work orders, and follow safety procedures in a manufacturing setting. Regular hours with occasional overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in paint preparation, automotive paint, powder coating, industrial finishing, or sign manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Experience with sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: prepare materials for paint and finishing.
• Paint Shop: mix paints, primers, and coatings per specs.
• Quality Control: inspect surfaces for defects and ensure standards.
• Production: read orders, prioritize workload, move signs within facility.
• Safety & Housekeeping: maintain clean, safe environment and PPE usage.
