Come Fabricate & Install Badass Signs With Us

Traverse City–based | Full-Time

Are you an experienced sign professional who’s bored of doing the same thing every day?
Do you take pride in precision, problem-solving, and building things the right way?

Good. Keep reading.

Pro Image Design is a family-owned Michigan sign company — not a franchise, not corporate — and one of the state’s leading providers of custom signage, vehicle graphics, and branding. We do everything in-house, from design and engineering to fabrication and installation.

We’re growing and looking for a skilled, driven Sign Installation & Fabrication Technician who wants challenging work, real variety, and a team that actually gives a damn about craftsmanship.

This isn’t assembly‑line work.
This is skilled trade work — and your name is on it when it’s done.

This Job Is for a Certain Type of Person

You’ll love this role if you:

• Like variety (we never do the same thing twice)
• Take pride in clean installs and tight details
• Enjoy working with your hands and your head
• Want to work for a family-owned company, not a corporate franchise
• Want to build things you’re proud of — and be respected for it

If you’re dependable, mechanically strong, detail-oriented, and committed to quality, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that blends fabrication, installation, and problem‑solving.

You’ll:

• Install a full range of interior and exterior signage, primarily throughout Northwest Michigan with some statewide work
• Perform site prep, layout, mounting, assembly, and on‑site finishing
• Fabricate sign components using industry‑standard methods and state‑of‑the‑art equipment (no junk tools here)
• Work directly with customers on‑site in a professional, confident manner
• Maintain clean, efficient, and organized workspaces
• Manage jobs using basic computer and design software
• Safely lift up to 75 lbs
• Hold a valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean record
• Be willing to obtain a Class A CDL (company‑supported)

Skills That Put You at the Front of the Line

We’re especially interested if you bring experience with:

• Michigan Sign Specialist License
• Crane operation
• Welding and sheet metal fabrication (steel & aluminum)
• Shear, brake, and roll‑form metal work
• Automotive-style priming, sanding, and finishing
• Reading blueprints and internal build sheets
• Understanding in‑house sign manufacturing processes
• Solid working knowledge of CAD design software

What You’ll Get

We believe great work deserves great support.

Pro Image Design offers:

• Industry‑leading compensation
• Profit Sharing
• Blue Cross / Blue Shield health insurance + employer HSA contribution
• 401(k) with 5% company match
• Paid vacation and paid holidays
• Overtime opportunities (OT is common)
• Personal and professional development
• A supportive, quality‑driven culture that invests in its people
