Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems is seeking linguists to join NSA’s MDLA program or direct-hire opportunities. Candidates will apply language skills to analysis, transcription, and translation in support of SIGINT missions.

Successful applicants will engage across offices and partner organizations, contributing to assessments and reports. A degree in any field is acceptable, with ILR 2/2 in reading/listening required and potential for development through LADP.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• At least one year of relevant experience in language work or related fields.
• For Full Performance and Senior levels, leadership experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and leaders.
• Research cultures and geopolitical context to inform analysis.
• Develop creative solutions to synthesize large data volumes from disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights unavailable from other disciplines.
• Work independently and with NSA/IC colleagues in research, analysis, and reporting.
