Job summary

Nokia Optical Module Group in Sunnyvale seeks a test development engineer to advance SiGe ASIC and high-speed device characterization in production and development. You will design tests, perform RF/mm-wave measurements, and work across teams to ensure robust validation of design intent.

Responsibilities include automation with Python/Matlab/C/C++, debugging complex test setups, and coordinating qualification activities such as Gage R&R and SPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of applicable experience or Master's with 3+ years in test/high-speed characterization.
• Hands-on experience with advanced analog and mixed-signal semiconductor characterization.
• Experience with Vector Network Analyzers (PNA) for broadband S-parameter and linearity measurements, real-time oscilloscopes for high-speed signal integrity and eyediagram analysis, and noise figure analyzers for gain and low-noise performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans and algorithms for performance validation of SiGe ASICs and high-speed circuits.
• Perform RF, mm-wave, analog probing and characterization with high-end equipment.
• Debug complex high-speed circuits and test setups across electrical, RF, thermal, and software domains.
• Compare measurements with simulations (Cadence, SPICE) to validate design intent and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and document bench hardware and software for new device characterization.
• Execute test station qualification work including Gage R&R and SPC.
• Produce thorough documentation and communicate with crossfunctional teams.
• Track schedules and milestones for test development projects.
