Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn is seeking a Registered Nurse SICU to provide nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients, using the nursing process in collaboration with the health team.

This full-time, day-shift position in Brooklyn offers a salary between $125,281 and $155,281 annually, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth. NY state RN license is required, with ACLS/PALS/TNCC within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Recent 1 year Med/Surg experience required.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications include NY RN license and BLS; ACLS, PALS, TNCC within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs the nursing process to provide care and outcomes for patients.
• Documents assessments, reassessments, progress toward goals, and all required documentation.
• Promotes patient safety and quality, adhering to national safety goals.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team and escalates appropriately.
• Establishes caring relationships with staff, patients, families, and other team members.
• Administers medications and parenteral therapy per policy, including blood administration.
• Prioritizes patient care and coordinates care independently or with delegation.
• Provides patient/family education and assists discharge planning.
