Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Beacon Award–winning SICU team on a full-time day shift. You will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and participate in RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles to support timely, safe care.

Under RN supervision, you will monitor vitals, report changes, and maintain compassionate communication with patients and families, contributing to a high-quality care environment at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• CNA certification by the State of Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and support daily living activities.
• Assist with RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles.
• Respond to patient calls and ensure timely information to care team.
• Document observations and report patient changes to nurses.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices.
• Support quality and safety initiatives on the unit.
