Job summary

North Oaks Medical Center seeks a Critical Care RN for the SICU. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting patients, and rotating through 7p-7a shifts (3 twelve-hour shifts per week) with every other weekend. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care under NOMC standards and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current Louisiana RN license. Membership in a professional organization is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality patient care using nursing process.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Document patient response to medication and procedures.
• Administer blood, blood components, hyperalimentation and chemotherapy.
• Adhere to hospital policies, dress code and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate care and communicate with team, physicians, patients and families.
