Job summary

Wesley Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator SICU to lead the nursing unit on designated shifts and enhance patient care quality. You will work with the management team to assess care standards and drive improvements.

The role emphasizes staff education, collaboration, and alignment with Wesley ICARE standards, ensuring safe, effective, nurse-led care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN actively licensed and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all nursing unit functions during designated shifts.
• Serve as a resource and educate nursing staff as needed.
• Ensure overall quality of nursing care while on duty.
• Make decisions per standards in collaboration with the management team.
• Support Wesley Healthcare mission and ICARE standards.
• Evaluate nursing practice quality and initiate improvements.
• Maintain current professional knowledge and oversee direct nursing care.
• Communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships.
• Assess staffing patterns and adjust for patient acuity.
• Assist in investigations and documentation of incidents.
• Participate in life-safety, quality, and regulatory policy enforcement.
• Assist in department goals, interviewing, and staff evaluation.
