Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher).
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in a BSN within two years.
• Nurses hired at Duke Health with a valid compact license must obtain NC nursing license within 90 days.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per the nursing process.
• Use nursing judgment to individualize care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Assist other nursing personnel and act as team leader or charge nurse.
• Monitor and maintain the environment of care and equipment.
