Job summary

Duke Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Sickle Cell Clinic at Duke South in Durham, NC. You will coordinate services, educate patients and families, and provide nursing care in the clinic setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent computer and phone skills, strong communication with a multidisciplinary team, and solid nursing judgment. North Carolina RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
• CN IIs eligible for promotion to CN II by meeting DUHS Vizient Nurse Residency criteria within 12 months of hire.
• Promotions can occur at 12 months of hire, but no later than 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process according to physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Participate in clinical and performance improvement opportunities.
