Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a Simulator Second-in-Command to support recurrent and initial training for client pilots in multi-crew aircraft. The SIC maintains currency, qualifications, and adheres to the company's QMS while performing duties across multiple aircraft types.

Applicants should hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with the required hours and be fluent in English. The role may involve high-pressure schedules, with physical demands typical of simulator environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2-3 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class and instrument ratings; minimum of 450 hours.
  • Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Second-in-Command (SIC) for clients in multi-crew aircraft during training; provide competent SIC support without instructional duties.
  • Maintain SIC pilot qualification per program requirements and FlightSafety's QMS processes.
  • Keep current all certificates, ratings and designations required to perform SIC duties.
  • Act as SIC in various aircraft types for Part 142, Part 135, and non-FAA clients as required.
