Job summary

Molex in Lisle, IL seeks an Assistant Lab Technician or Lab Technician to join the Signal Integrity Team. The role offers hands-on testing of high-speed connectors using network analyzers and time-domain reflectometry, with training provided and a path to develop skills in SNR, BER and data reporting.

You will perform soldering, measurements, and create reports using Microsoft Office, while helping maintain lab organization and supporting quality programs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on lab experience with hand tools and electrical equipment.
  • Intermediate computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Perform soldering or de-soldering operation including microscopic scale to assemble or remove resistors, capacitors, and wires on board, and connectors for electrical testing.
  • Perform Signal Integrity measurements on high-speed connectors using network analyzers.
  • Perform time domain reflectometry measurements and oscilloscope measurements.
  • Perform BER, SNR and Eye measurements on high-speed data signals.
  • Create reports from measurement data using Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and in house software.
  • Highlight areas of failure in any prototype and provide possible reasons for malfunctions.
  • Organize lab and maintain archive of reports in on-line library.
  • Support Molex quality programs by following approved policies and procedures.

Your Job

Molex is seeking an Assistant Lab Technician or Lab Technician (depending on skill level) to join our Signal Integrity Team. Training on the use of a network analyzer, signal integrity tools and time domain reflectometry will be provided. We are looking for someone that has an eagerness to learn. This is a development opportunity to learn skills needed to test electronic connector samples for Signal Integrity.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • experience in using hand tools, electrical equipment, or doing similar job function with hands-on lab experience.
  • Intermediate level computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Associate degree in a technical field
  • Education or experiences focused on electrical or mechanical technology.

For this role, we anticipate paying $28-$30 per hour
