You will log shifts, follow procedures, and maintain equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency. The position requires flexibility to work weekends or holidays, a high school diploma or GED, and training in CPR/AED/First Aid.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to rapidly analyze issues, establish priorities, anticipate consequences, make decisions and initiate action.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, regulations and safety.
  • Attention to detail and possess a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to provide positive reinforcement and possess a positive attitude.
  • Must possess ability to provide follow up to drivers and dispatch team.
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress environment and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with dispatchers and drivers.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and listening) with motivational ability.
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions and stressed dispatchers and drivers.
  • Work may require more than 40 hours per week.
  • Must be available to work on weekends or holidays, as needed.
  • (VTC will assist with training) Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • (VTC will assist with training) Reasonable suspicion training.

Responsibilities

  • Start of Shift: Report to supervisor/clock in.
  • Daily Shuttle Van Safety Check and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Check oil, antifreeze, belts, and hoses for leaks or damage.
  • Engine start, lights and beacon on, 4-way flashers on.
  • Walk around unit to ensure all systems function.
  • Shuttling: Help Auto Haulers locate units to be loaded.
  • Note 15 MPH max speed on ramps.
  • Flashers on at all times while traveling in yard.
  • Back up with horn twice and look before proceeding.
  • Keep shuttle area clean and logs up to date.
  • Complete tasks assigned by management.
