Job summary

Linden Ponds by Erickson Senior Living in Hingham, MA is seeking a Shuttle Bus Driver to safely transport residents to on-site or off-site destinations and assist passengers on and off the bus. This role blends safe driving with friendly customer service.

Schedule: Friday and Saturday 3pm to 9:30pm. A $500 sign-on bonus applies to this shift. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with an hourly range of $18–$22.

Qualifications

• Must have valid State driver’s license.
• Must obtain a current DOT Physical/Medical Certificate before starting.
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old to drive.
• Ability to operate vehicles with wheelchair ramps and lifts and seated passengers safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled trips.
• Operate non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans with ramps and lifts.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, fueling, and related tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and log vehicle usage.

Join our team as a Shuttle Bus Driver and help residents stay connected to the people, places, and services that matter most.

As a driver, you'll safely transport residents throughout our retirement community and to off-site appointments, shopping, and other destinations. This role combines safe driving with exceptional customer service, as you'll assist residents on and off the bus and help ensure every ride is comfortable, dependable, and enjoyable. How You Will Make An Impact

• Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments
• Operate non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans; vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts
• Assist passengers with boarding and off-boarding from the vehicle
• Prepare vehicles for usage, including performing pre & post-trip vehicle inspections, refueling, and other related tasks
• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles
• Log and track vehicle usage

What You Will Need

• Valid State driver’s license. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
• Must be able to obtain prior to starting, a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. Physical Examination. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive
• Ability to operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems. Ability to operate Community vehicles safely; to include non-CDL passenger buses and sedans, demonstrated by successful completion of a road test
