Job Purpose

The purpose of the Shuttle Driver Trainee-DOT position is to train in performing pickups and deliveries of daily routes, assisting domicile drivers, and returning empty trailers to the warehouse for reloading.

Key Responsibilities

1. Train to operate as a safe and courteous shuttle driver, demonstrating BEK principles in interactions with the public and customers.
2. Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of tractors and trailers used during shifts.
3. Adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Ensure trailers and tractors are adequately fueled and fuel levels are maintained.
5. Occasionally complete deliveries to/from the warehouse or shuttle site as needed.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
2. At least 6 months of DOT driving experience required.
3. Valid Class A CDL with Doubles endorsement.
4. Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations.
5. Good computer skills and ability to learn internal applications.
6. Ability to work outside in extreme temperatures.
7. Ability to follow instructions and lift/move cases weighing up to 90 pounds occasionally.
