Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than high school or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination.
• License: Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability: 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language: Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical: Basic arithmetic with dollars.
• Appearance: Neat, clean, in uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, handle cash, occasional heavy lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain bus interiors.
• Be punctual, in uniform, and present while on duty.
• Direct customers to facilities manager as needed.
• Report accidents or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Assist customers and luggage as applicable, especially at airport locations.
• Maintain knowledge of garage and local streets for navigation.

Responsibilities

Position: Shuttle Driver PDOT (Non CDL)

Location: JAX Parking Garage. Jacksonville, FL

Pay rate: $17.00/hr

Shifts: Open Availability

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging trip counts and assisting disabled passengers.
• Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
• Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the customer to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
• Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets, when necessary, if authorized.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage.
• Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g. operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Experience Required: Less than high school or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination.

Previous Experience In Similar Roles: Highly preferred.

License Requirement: Required to have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary. Availability for 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and other employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, two‑digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle cash and equipment. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Salary

Salary Range: $17.00 per hour (+ tips)

This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
