Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, seeks a Parking Attendant in Houston, TX. You will perform vehicle inspections, assist customers, and maintain a neat uniform while on duty.

Shifts vary; you may work third shift or weekends. A valid state driver’s license and DOT Medical Card are required. The role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds.

The position pays $15.00 per hour plus tips, with benefits for eligible employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, keep bus interiors clean, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be present at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Maintain a valid state‑issued driver’s license and carry it while on duty.
• Keep an acceptable DMV record.
• Assist customers by answering questions and, if necessary, direct them to the Facility Manager.
• Report known accidents, suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to the garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
• Know all areas of the garage and major nearby streets, landmarks, and freeways.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable.
• Support the Facility Manager with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination.

License Requirement

Maintaining a valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card

Must possess a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).

Availability to Work

Shifts vary by location; may require 3rd shift and/or weekend work.

Language Skills

Read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence; present information to customers and colleagues in one‑on‑one situations.

Mathematical Skills

Perform basic arithmetic with numbers and U.S. currency.

Appearance

Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear a complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, balance, or lift up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Salary Range

$15.00 per hour (+ tips). Eligible to earn tips in addition to the hourly rate.
