Job summary

VPNE is seeking an entry-level Non-CDL Shuttle Driver to safely transport employees and customers in the South Boston area. The role emphasizes exceptional service, safety, and vehicle upkeep as part of VPNE’s transportation division.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical clearance/DPU certification process. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm, with a strong customer-service focus and professional communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong focus on customer service and safety.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport employees and customers between parking facilities and designated areas.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times while operating the shuttle.
  • Ensure the vehicle meets safety requirements and update maintenance schedule.
  • Follow all traffic signs and laws and stay within posted speeds.
  • Verify passengers are authorized to board the shuttle.
  • Maintain a predictable schedule to minimize delays.
  • Provide a positive passenger experience and escalate issues as needed.
  • Demonstrate the Exceptional Care philosophy at all times.
  • Communicate information clearly to managers and passengers, in person or by radio.
