The Shuttle Drive/Material Handler is responsible for shuttling product to and from the main plant and any designated external warehouse. In state deliveries as an on needed basis. Candidate will be unloading his/her own loads at times.
Essential Functions
- Shuttle product to and from designated external warehouse
- In state deliveries to customers as needed
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Reclass product using the WMS process
- Stock product into racking in designated areas
- Ensure effective employee relations
- Assist in the training of new employees

There is no supervisory responsibility for this position
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to allergens and moving forklifts and pallet jacks, and road condition hazards. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Full time hour schedule is subject to change with or without notice. Mandatory or voluntary overtime may be required to meet business needs.
Travel
There is no personal travel for this position, however frequent travel in a company truck.
Education, Skills, And Experience
- CDL Class A, minimum requirement
- Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent desired but not required
- Previous experience and/or training in driving is helpful but not required
- Previous experience training new employees
- 3-5 years’ experience in a shuttle driving environment ideal
- Current DOT Physical and maintained on a yearly basis.
