Job summary

Encore at Parkside is seeking a Lifestyles Assistant for a part-time role with days and evenings and weekend availability. You will assist the Lifestyles Director in planning, scheduling and coordinating activities to enhance residents’ physical, mental and social well-being.

Must be comfortable driving a large shuttle and facilitating staff-presented programs for a senior living community. The position requires high school diploma or GED, and driving responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Six months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred.
• Must possess current and valid driver’s license as per vehicle size and state laws.
• Must possess driving record per Driver Selection Policy.
• Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating resident activities and events.
• Facilitate a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, health services, and environmental activities.
• Promote a healthy community culture and ensure wellness needs are addressed across mind, body and spirit.
• Provide educational opportunities for residents and staff on disease prevention and wellness programs.
• Track activity participation across Healthcare, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.
• Communicate information on activity ability changes for Care Plans.
