Job summary

FedEx in New York is seeking a shuttle driver to load/unload aircraft and vehicles and to sort packages. The role requires basic education and the ability to operate in a safety-conscious, time-sensitive environment.

You will complete required trainings, meet FMCSA qualifications, and work in a shift from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with compensation disclosed as hourly pay. Federal Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned.

Pay Transparency

Pay: $23.32 - $32.52 / hr

Additional Details: Shuttle Driver/DOT, Monday - Friday: 5:00PM - 9:30PM (Hours may vary)
