Primary Purpose: Provides trailer shuttling services to/from customer sites and spots trailers in and out of the warehouse as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Follow all DOT rules and regulations.
• Perform minor repairs on trucks and trailers to ensure operational efficiency.
• Add fluids and maintain trucks without assistance.
• Fuel trailers on the yard and operate refrigerated trailers.
• Communicate effectively with other drivers and work with irregular schedules, including mandatory weekend overtime.
• Communicate with customers and report equipment issues to the fleet coordinator.
• Work with other departments and operate Material Handling Equipment as needed.
• Adjust Yard Management System to update trailer movements.
• Move trailers for loading/unloading and haul them over public roads.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Class A CDL.
• 3-5 years of relevant truck driving experience.
• Experience with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong communication skills, attention to safety, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs frequently, up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
