Job Summary
The Van Driver transports guests and associates to and from the hotel and nearby locations, providing courteous, efficient, and safe transportation services. The driver assists with guest luggage, maintains vehicle cleanliness and compliance with safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Transport guests and associates to and from the hotel and surrounding locations, following traffic rules and regulations.
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and handling luggage.
- Keep vehicle clean, perform daily inspections, and maintain maintenance logs.
- Communicate with hotel staff and guests via two-way radio and in person; provide friendly, professional service.
- Greet and acknowledge guests and give information about the hotel and local attractions as required.
- Adhere to safety protocols, wear seat belts, and comply with traffic laws.
- Report vehicle issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Complete shuttle activity logs and reports accurately and on time.
- Perform supplemental hotel duties as needed (e.g., delivery of guest items, bell services).
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming in compliance with the hotel dress code.
Qualifications
- 3-6 months related driving experience.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local roads, highways, and points of interest.
- Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
- Proficient in following safety procedures, traffic laws, and mandatory compliance.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Experience operating a POS system for logging and tracking.
Work Environment
Work is primarily outdoors and exposed to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and precipitation. Must stand, walk, and sit frequently; lift up to 60 lb and push/pull up to 120 lb. Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and tolerate moderate noise.
