Job summary

The Ranch at Laguna Beach is seeking an attentive Shuttle Driver to transport employees and assist with parking operations on site. You will operate golf carts, perform valet duties, and help maintain efficient parking flow across the resort.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at least 5 shifts per week. Prior shuttle experience is a plus in this outdoor, hospitality role.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Customer service experience preferred, shuttle driver experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive golf carts and perform valet services for employees.
• Shuttle employees between parking areas and designated work areas.
• Maintain employee parking hotline and update daily parking information.
• Ensure all carts and parking areas are clean and charged at shift end.
• Assist guests and staff with parking and traffic flow as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEWProvide shuttle services for employees to and from parking areas. Manage parking area to ensure space is occupied efficiently and vehicles are parked in a safe and orderly manner. Assist in other resort areas as needed for proper traffic flow and parking instructions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****Must be available for a minimum of 5 shifts per week.****• Drive golf carts ranging from 2-15 passengers.• Safely and securely provide valet services for employees.• Shuttle employees from parking area to designated work area.• Maintain and update the employee parking hotline.• Ensure golf carts and parking areas are kept clean and free of debris and trash.• Provide employees and guests with daily parking updates.• Ensure golf carts are always properly charged and plugged in at the end of the shift for recharging.• Assist team members with parking cars and retrieving their car.• Manage parking areas to ensure all cars are parked safely and efficiently.• Assist Guest Services and Ranch team with duties as needed.NOTE: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Valid state driver’s license required. Must have clean driving record and be at age of 21 or older.Skills and Experience:• Customer experience required, preferably in a resort or hotel environment. Ability to operate all types of golf carts and passenger vehicles (manual and automatic) required. There is no effective protection from weather.• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including, heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.• The position requires standing, driving and getting in and out of vehicles most of the day.• Must be able to stand or drive and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with supervisors and other team members.• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception.• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.Other:Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.Due to the fluctuation in business levels in the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of The Ranch.
